I live in the 8th most densely populated region on the planet (Malta) and we are nowhere to be seen. I know we're small, but come on, guys! Population density is our thing.
Well here in Malta where I live, tertiary education at the national University is not only free but (as in some other European countries) students actually receive a stipend to help fund their studies. We've worked this the other way around, wherein courses of study that are deemed 'more beneficial' such as nurses, engingeers and recently specialist IT courses are given a higher stipend than others.
My insignificant BA in Theatre didn't earn me much, but hey, it was free!
You have to take things in the spirit intended. My first job out of uni I was a receptionist at an ad company and everybody called me baby. It wasn't because they were leering old perverts, it was because at 21, I was the office baby and younger than everyone else there by a very wide margin.
Now if some builder yells "Hey baby!" when I walk by on the street, I will take a little offence, because they're obviously not doing it with the purest intentions.
I've been a voracious reader all my life and there's no way I'm trading in my books for an e-reader! I love technology, but it's never going to get in the way of the fact that books are special to a lot of people.
I don't think you can even really compare it to the digitisation of music since affordable personal music collections have only become commonplace in the last few decades whereas books have been wide spread since for centuries!
Wow. Now, I'm from the Mediterranean myself and it's pretty normal for kids to live with their parents until marriage in some of the more old-fashioned areas, but I've never heard of anyone receiving that kind of fixed allowance. Much less suing for it.
I speak Maltese. The only semitic language in the EU and I believe the only semitic language to be written in the latin alphabet. It is a mix of Arabic, Italian and some English and all its correct conjugations and tenses are a bitch to learn when you're a native English speaker.
I think the only reason it's easier than Arabic is that we like to make words up as we go along.

Otherwise it as like the nice towers were being executed D:

Seriously though, a TARDIS showing up around the world would be such good marketing.
