Wow, what a drama queen :) This guy reminds me almost exactly of the character Ethan Tremblay/Stu (played by Zach Galifianakis) in the movie "Due Date".

Since most marketers already live in a bizarro fantasy world disconnected from typical logic, rationality, and scruples, why not have that extended to graduation ceremonies as well? It's not like they're getting a real degree.
