The pod he built is lovely and his video is charming BUT when I got to the part where he asked for help getting the government to let him keep his hand crafted hut on public land, the lovely and charming train came to a screeching halt. It boils down to this - if the government allows this guy's lovely and charming hut to stay on public land, what happens when the next person builds something wacky and kooky. And what about the person who builds something ugly and sprawling? Or the person who goes with damaging and intrusive? The point of having public lands is so that EVERYONE gets to encounter and share undisturbed natural spaces. No matter how adorable this guy's hut is, he should have built it somewhere else. I think he should take it down and rebuild it on property he can lease or buy.
