Oh, wait, I just noticed that the website is the UK version. The eggs that we eat here in the States are made by license by Hershey's. There's no mention of the change on the Hershey's/Cadbury site.
I save wrappers and can definitely say that they changed from 1.38 ounces to 1.2 ounces this year. (Well, I also reviewed them last year and the new orange one this year and did notice the difference.)
I don't necessarily mind that they got a little smaller, but the note on their website is disingenuous.
The "neat" argument aside, I agree with the posters who say that the article is one-sided ... and the posting of it on this site is even more skewed (why only her picture here?).
We don't know the whole story.
So many other posts at Neatorama seek to enlighten us with little facts, historical figures and events as well as triumphs of spirit. While I say that a balance of "bad news" is called for, I don't think this is one of those stories.
An earlier death on stage telling a joke was Parkyarkus (Harold Einstein ... father of Super Dave Osborne & Albert Brooks). He was at the dais at the Friar's Club Roast for Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz when he collapsed onto Milton Berle and died.
I used to work in a bakery where we'd sell chocolate dipped things - pretzels, nuts and the thing that was the most popular were the chocolate dipped oreos. We did the regular oreos and we did these Big Stuf ones - they'd be dipped half in white coating and half in milk chocolate.
Qbert was always my favorite as a kid. I saw one of the Space Invaders gallery shows a couple of years back and have spotted a few of them around LA (I think a few photos are in that flickr group).
That Jason & the Argonauts statue used to freak me out ... especially that metallic scraping noise that it made. I seriously had a fear of statues for a long time. Damn you Ray Harryhausen!

They were insanely large.
I've been told that lefties have an easier time doing mirror writing.
