There are much worse things we are "manipulated" with. I'd much rather be manipulated into heaven than the optional agenda. When you are a believer, it's a comforting reminder of God's promises. For the unbeliever, it may not make sense, but there's a chance that the curious soul just might find comfort, also, in a time of need.
