This is the second year Liz has made a similar Halloween joke: Only the costume is changed. It could've been worse; remember the viral Gotye hit where all he wore in the video was layers of unmatched body paint?

Maybe we should start planning our "everybody's wearing the same thing" costumes for next year now... depending on the upcoming Big Reveal on S.H.I.E.L.D. of how he came back to life, I'd lean toward "Agent Coulson Clones".

Speaking of tipping, I learned a long time ago to tip the valet parking attendant 15% of the current value of my car... which for me, was usually pocket change.

I remember watching (part of) the first show at the college radio station where I'd gotten my first shift at midnight on Saturday. The student on before me had brought a portable TV in so he could watch it during the last half hour of his shift (while he did a lot of record segues). So I saw the first half hour and bits of the rest (he hung around the studio) and amazingly did it without long stretches of dead air (though my on-air banter was awful... they just thought I was being a beginner... I WAS put on midnight on Saturday)

Sigh... why is it that while I'm on a "long-term weight loss/control program" (don't call it a diet, but hey, my doctor gave me attaboys for averaging 5 pounds a month lost), that putting potatoes into sandwiches becomes a 'thing'? Of course, pierogis were stuffing dumplings with potatoes in Poland since before Polish jokes, but the sammich above is making me drool all over my laptop and attracting the cat. Then again, using bacon as the one meat ingredient is almost cheating, drool-wise. Maybe if I taped bacon to the cat... nah, it's been done.

D'oh! Well, I still haven't figured how to count days BACKWARDS on my fingers. And my birthday was a few days ago also, in fact, there's a movie named after it (day AND year).

I also suspected you were just being too nice to link to The Oatmeal's rant, so I did it. But yes, "how people can be so awful to each other"... it does make the awful people of today look relatively nice: most of them have given up slavery and genocide, although if the CDC stays shutdown too long, they may bring back 'causing epidemics'. (end rant)

Well, if you've read The Oatmeal's scathing little infothingy on Christopher Columbus, you'd realize that by 'observing' Columbus Day, we're not being very observant. :P

But I am proud to have done MY job this week by mildly terrorizing you in the comments, helping to keep the 'Rama from declining into the same muck as most other internet places-where-they-let the-masses-comment. Seriously, somebody was trolling Neil deGrasse Tyson? That's what happens when you're popular - a few idiots sneak in. (However, you did reveal that your birthday is eight days after his, which would make it - hmmm, how do I count days on my fingers? - tomorrow! So, Happy Birthday and Welcome to the Not-So-Secret Society of Librans Who Are Neither Librarians, Libertarians, or, Considering the Zodiac Symbol, All That Well-Balanced)

Other plausible theories:

The Snow Queen

it's a promotional thing for that movie about the Snow Queen

Penguins (NEVER underestimate Penguin Power)

it's where frozen pizzas are REALLY made

Non-Abominable Snowpeople (they banish the Abominable ones to the Himalayas)
