They didn't actually break in. Unless of course this is to show how easy it would be for Odo from Deep Space Nine to break in. I don't need ADT to secure the underside of the door, I can go to Home Depot and buy some weather stripping to prevent that.
@Ted In Greek mythology Vulcan is the god of fire and smithing. Iron and steel was the main industry in Birmingham for decades and the statue was built as a symbol of that. It is the largest cast-iron statue in the world. It is on top of Red Mountain, a rich source of iron ore and overlooks downtown Birmingham. Up until it's most recent restoration the Alabam DOT used it as a symbol for driver safety. It's torch glowed red when a fatality occurred on Alabama roadways and green when there had been none.
