Beggars Night wasn't limited to Iowa. Grew up with it in Buffalo during the 60s. It was more popular than the 31st and lots of kids did two nights of Trick or Treating.

Well, in my area the key to becoming a cashless society is to eliminate/reduce all the network transaction fees for using any type of card. I'm seeing a lot more reduced prices/coupons etc. for those who pay cash.

Left out the fact that Rt 201 - Sandy Bay to Solon (just outside of Skowhegan) is also known as the Old Canada Rd and high on the list of scenic byways. Think the great North Maine Woods + fall foliage. Just about time for a drive!

In Maine, Rt 201 from Brunswick to say Skowhegan is pretty heavily traveled. After that, Skowhegan to Sanday Bay which is more than half the total distance there's not too much, including any intersecting roads. Apologies to Jackman, a place I really love. So I'm thinking that 90 mile stretch has a big impact on the overall statistics.

sandyra is close. It's a maritime safety sign, specifically a Muster Station Sign. And the International Standards Organization (ISO) took a look at it and said wtf? It's being replaced with this one.

Meh. Or should I say seriously? It's bourbon. Which has gone the same way as 'craft' beer. First I'm expected to pay +/- $13 for a four pack of beer, now they want me to pay +/- $100 for a bottle of bourbon. Thanks, but I'll stick with my George Remus.

If you've read more Tolkien than Lord of the Rings, you'll quickly realize that geographically, there's a whole lot more going on than Europe. It's just too vast.

Pretty much nailed it. But it's also the same for pretty much any ongoing series: Bond, Homeland, Mission Impossible, Jack Ryan, et.al. Not just with crossovers, but with scope and scale. Each new release has to exceed whatever happened previously. At least with comics, it's just comics and the realm of believe-abililty is easy to suspend. Not so much with the others.
