This is only slightly off topic. John's comment above about all of us being scientifically curious has a lot of truth to it. Prompted me to take a look at Dr. Rebecca Burch's profile, also linked above. Who is this New York Professor who drew the attention of Dave Barry and then a good deal of the Neatorama Universe?
Dr. Burch has publications on the topics of seminal composition and human physiology and behavior, genital morphology, intimate partner violence (focusing on the role of sexual jealousy and prevention strategies), and sexual signaling. These publications have garnered interest from the media, including nonfiction books (e.g., “Why is the Penis Shaped like that?”, “Bonk”, and “The Dangerous Passion).
Anyone out there looking to conceive may want to take a look at her paper on Tactics to Solve Adaptive Problems of Sperm Competition. Sounds like a game of The Weakest Link, but who knows? it could be a game changer. All in fun. She's accomplished. And she taught up here in Maine at Colby so there's that.

Just so I get this straight - The rise of male dandification led to metrosexual expression of early consumer capitalism. Then came the fall of the Macaronis, and the advent of the Great Male Renunciation. Soon, women were dressing like men, and men were like WTF? We're supposed to be in charge. Finally, everyone threw their hands in the air, grew their hair long, stopped shaving, and if they wore clothes at all, they were ill-fitting homespun concoctions that nonetheless were quite trendy.

Meat makes you horny? Holy crap! Those of us old enough and also raised catholic will surely remember a time when you couldn't eat meat on every Friday. That law - Canon 1250 / 1251 is still in effect BTW. Anyway doesn't this put a new spin on things.

A road built on the side of cliff in a geologically unstable area (a geological nightmare at the edge of two tectonic plates to be specific), and that for decades has been subject to heavy rainfall and landslides is finally succumbing to climate change. Sure. Glad we got that straightened out and have properly assigned the blame.
