Nice thats is great for the environment: radioactive fuel. Not only will it cost too much money, and use too much energy to refine and package the fuel, but it will also pose a hazard in accidents in fires. The fuel can not be put in a very thick container if it uses the RTG method: it has to be close enough to a cooling surface or the air to function well.

Obviously the cannon is fake. Even an old cannon ball will approach the speed of sound. That is enough to tear through a blue whale, let alone a person. They used a demonstration cannon, like the kind at the circus where guys get shot out. Probably a small charge of explosive was used. Still impressive, but lets not pretend it was a real cannon.

A new error: the record swim was not from Cal. to Cuba... but must have been Florida to Cuba. California to Cuba would run you 3000 miles using the canal. Far more if you have to swim around the horn.
