I agree with the heart in the right place but this is the wrong way to go about it.

There are far more effective ways to save the environment than cutting ziplock bags out of your day. Simply by riding a bike 1 day, 3 miles, to and from work you reduce your environmental impact more than a decades worth of save ziplock bags.

Cutting ziplock bags out is the equivalent of driving your Hummer H2 to buy some CFL bulbs and thinking you helped the environment.

I've noticed more people referring to Doctor Who recently; it must me the new "ironically lame" for geek hipsters.

But knowing Tennant era Doctor Who is like knowing "Lord of the Rings"; you could still be a geek poser.
You're not really geek cool unless you can name all of Tom Baker's companions (Tegan+Nyssa was the best!) or if you're up to date on Torchwood (US here we come!).

Admittedly there is a small force to the right from the wood falling, and it's counter force because the hinge holds the wood in place. But the resistance from that force is hardly enough to slow the wood up.
