After studying the culture for the past five years and now even living in Japan, reading about these sorts of things no longer surprise me. In fact, I'd be *more* surprised if something "odd" weren't always going on around here...
I've seen a few capsule toy machines around with I Love Egg phone accessories in them. They're made of rubber and made to look like decorated eggs, and there's a face (the yolk of the egg) that peeks out.
That said, I'm missing the Magician Egg, Juggler Egg, and Bunny Egg...
"The restaurant ovens have never been extinguished since it first opened in 1864, in which time it has served over 115 million ducks!"
...When I first read that, I thought, "whaat? I know there are dog and cat restaurants, but I didn't know there were restaurants that served customers that are ducks too!"
I can't honestly believe that none of the people knew the differences between a sheep and a poodle. I've never seen a sheep or poodle in real life, and I can certainly tell the difference.
Anyways, if you were spending so much money for a pet, wouldn't you want to know what the pet looks like first before buying it?
...But that makes it somewhat appealing to me. :)
quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack....
Tragic, but there are definitely things she could've done differently to help her situation.
