Monkey, I ask you not to imply that all breeders are puppy mills. It just... it's completely inaccurate and it upsets me. I was a breeder. My dogs were raised in a home environment as our own, socialized and handled from two days old, and trained properly--and we never, ever lost a puppy, even when it meant getting up every two hours to tube feed a cleft-palate runt. Every person who purchased a dog was screened and had to come to us. Some still send us update photos, years later. Puppy mill=/=breeder.

Anyway, wonderful story. It's great that the dog found a home that understands and will work with her. She seems like a real sweetie.

Also of interest, this house is slated to be built entirely underground. There's a central atrium that goes to the ground level, which is the only source of natural light in the house.
