Well in regards to Retrokatze's post, I remember a documentary that was on one of those PBS channels. It was about a gay man in san francisco, and how he survived the AIDS epidemic while everyone around him died from the dreadful disease. He didn't take any special precautions in terms of safe sex, etc., yet he never got sick. They analyzed his DNA, and compared it to the DNA from the bones of those who were not afflicted by the bubonic plague during the black death of europe. Both DNA were a match, suggesting that this individual, who seems to be immune from the AIDS virus, got his ability from his ancestors all the way in europe.
Could be real, could be fake, don't know for sure. One thing I do know is that there was a bit of controversy over the Blue Angels being in Fleet Week at all, some San Fran supervisor did not want them there because he felt they posed a safety risk to people on the ground and around the area. After that kind of unwanted attention, I highly doubt the Blue Angels would risk doing anything like this; to them it may be totally safe and as risk free as it can be but that doesn't mean it isn't any less dangerous than other maneuvers, and impressions are everything my friends.
I'm currently watching episode three, all I can say is that Ken Burns just has a magic for making documentaries that just catch your attention and hold them for the entire series. It's not like we haven't heard some of these stories before, but the way the whole package is put together, the archival films, the interviews, etc., is just pure magic.
The interviews with former veterans is simply awe inspiring. What continues to amaze me is the savagery and brutality of the battles in both theaters of World War 2. What also struck me was how the war department censored all news coming from the front, especially the Pacific theater, to keep all the horrendous casualties out of the public eye. It wasn't until 1943 and the battle of Tarawa that a horrified American public became aware of the tremendous cost.
Indeed the generation that fought WW2 was the greatest generation. There is no way our current generation would have the stomach to fight a war like that, where a single campaign that lasted a few months would exceed the current casualty rate from Iraq by a factor of two or more.
I'm with Buns, I didn't say anything about nudism and stuff, I'm talking about his other website he put up, he seems rather overly concerned with young ones and what they do or not do.
Doesn't anyone else think it's rather odd for this one grown man to be obsessed with the consent laws? It is what it is, and I doubt the average joe is concerned about them.
I like the way the creator tries to brush this off as some "parody." He really gives me the creeps and I believe this is really an extension of his creepy pedo tendencies.
Read the article and you'll see he has some really shady past with other equally creepy stunts.
This ain't a parody aimed at inconsistencies in laws; it's reaffirmation that he is one weird sicko.
Hey no probs if people want to dumpster dive. More power to them.
But they don't need to go around haughtily annointing themselves anti capitalists and other nonsensical self aggrandizing terms, to make themselves feel superior to others. It's like dishwashers calling themselves supply chain management assisters. Know what I'm saying?
They are dumpster divers, no more and no less. No need for fluff.
Capt. Obvious and the others nailed it, how is it being anti consumerist when in fact they are living off the consumerists? Isn't that like a contradiction or something?
Umm, everything like the states except 1-3. Anyone that's seen the sickening news account of kids and babies being beaten to death, dumped on the streets, tortured, etc. etc., would know that this is quite common.
No, just kidding, sweet commercial.

Non violent protest at its finest!
Classic, hope this spreads.
