I was a 5 year old boy living in Brookline on the Boston border.
For a kid, it was so much fun. We have pictures of me standing on a snowdrift leaning against the M in a McDonald's sign 20' in the air.
All the roads were closed except for official vehicles. My father worked for the state. Since he had an official vehicle, we were allow to drive. We took a neighbor to his hardware store he owned for supplies. We had to dig down and tunnel through the snow to reach the front door.
Our White German Shepard recently had puppies. We had to dig moats in the backyard to keep the puppies from walking over the 6' fence. The little white puppies were impossible to see in the snow, so we painted the tails bright colors to keep track of them.
It was the greatest adventure a child could possibly have.

All my year of scoring, tapping and grinding stained glass were wasted! If only i have known that a bucket of water was the key.
The glass was likely scored with a diamond wheel first and the scissors are just breaking along the score lines.
