I'm afraid it isn't lost on me.

When did I ask to be provided for?

There are all ready programs in place to provide for starving kids and you'd have to be an ass to say they need to go away. And you are right that I can say that and in the same breath say that making one sided rules that everone must follow because we say so and it looks good on paper is wrong.

The goverment has a responsability to provide for the poor, especially children while at the same time not limiting or dictating the freedoms of its populace.

Do you prefer the goverment linear thinking that there is only one way and no if ands or buts to change things? Is it really impossible to understand how somoene could want programs for free meals for starving kids to continue while at the same time not want the goverment to tell everyone the (happy happy joy joy) else what they can or can not do or have even if it is in a public school cafeteria or a fast food joint in NYC?

Dear big government.

Not everyone is fat, overweight and unable to make decisions for themselves.

While some of the kids may benefit from it, most would benefit more from a decent meal and good exercise. Protein needs to be high if you are limiting calorie intake and failure to do so means you are more likely to grab and snack on the quick filler that is not healthy once you are able too.

Can't imagine how some of the kids in athletics can get by at this district, even in Jr High our kids are sometimes dropped off early and stay late the same days for band and athletics. Could you eat breakfast at 7am, go to school all day eat so few calories at lunch and then run two miles before dinner while only being 100lbs?

Plus some families are broke or too stupid to provide protein bars and extra meals for their kids. If you are starving and need something quick you are far more likely to not eat healthy especially if you did not plan a healthy item in advance to grab.

Not to mention that for some kids the meal at school is the most or best food that they get in a week. It should not be the school that puts everyone on the same diet because not everyone needs the same diet.

Sure why not.
Let the gay people get married, the polygamist get married and the people into bestiality too. Since we don't want to step on anyones rights lets just lower the bar completly.
Pre arrainged marriage to an infant? Sure why not. We can just let people do whatever they want until the only question left is what kind of tax breaks can four men all married to the same goat get.
The real question isn't what is right or wrong but when do the majority say enough is enough and the bar has to be set.

Good thing that the robber wasn't there. What if he was there with a gun and decided to start shooting or trying to break through the barricade with his car? Having a civilian ran over while hand cuffed or a stray bullet or piece of shrapnel kill a kid in one of the cars would have looked a hell of a lot worse that what did happen.

Given how little they knew about the suspect I'm not so sure it was the best call.

The idea of what constitutes 'pet abuse' by some of the people on this site is absurd. I'd rather be the dog of some pet owner in Norway who gets stuffed in one of those for a few munites every week than a human who lives in North Korea.

"And the economy is bad?"

When the Nigerians don't pay them what they promised they will default on that 40k party and the government will bail it out.
