Really imnpressive - and possibly the smallest /scale/ model. I've seen a much smaller V8 glow-plug aero engine running, but that wasn't a model of anything in particular, just a small engine. About 6" long and perhaps 5" squarish - made an amazing whooshing sound.

That is so wonderful. I want one - but can't afford it. However, someone on our local FreeCycle derivative (became Freegle after a parting of the ways with the original bunch who started throwing their weight around) who is offering felting stuff....

PKD films rarely bear any resemblance to the story on which they are ostensibly based. That may be a good thing really, it saves those of us who like his work from having to feel upset - we can just dismiss the films. Except Scanner, of course.

That doesn't mean the films themselves aren't worth watching, just that they're not the book - and this isn't the usual "It wasn't as good as the book" moan, this is a "The only relationship to the book is that it may have been used to prop up the editing table" sort of moan.

"Yeah, right." came a call from the audience.

Oh dear, another spammer. It's like throwing litter out of a car, isn't it? The people who do it don't see the problem, the people on the receiving end think it's horrid.

Mum remembers seeing these go over, first in Kent, and then later in London. Her recollection was that they were treated with a certain amount of contempt. Compared to an hour of two of night-time raid and trying to get to work the next day they were more of a damned nuisance - though deadly if one fell on you.

Item 1829 is an ultrasonic fogger. Immerse it in fresh water and it'll produce a mist above it. The protruding bit above it is a safety device - it won't function unless the sticky-up bit is submerged.

What might help here is remembering that almost all of us blokes aren't rapists. Please, ladies, don't tar us all with the same brush by making sweeping statments.
