When the Jewish people invaded Canaan at God's comand, they slaughtered everyone and took their land.

If anything, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is responsible for everything, not your Abrahamic God.
It's funny your God would personally intervene and help the handicap over their problems (according to what you wrote), but he stops short of reproducing an amputee's limbs - something that would be really miraculous. I guess he 'retired' from performing miracles from whence the 'Buy-Bull' was written.

It's no wonder even learned scientists and free-thinkers in the past had to pretend to believe in God, just to conform with all the sheep who would rather hedge their bets than to think rationally.
Whereas once I could have been killed for being sacrelegious, today I enjoy the progress we have made as a civilization in our rapidly declining belief in the supernatural. Yes, science is filling in the gaps. That's why I proclaim my infidel status every moment I get, to hasten our society away from the oppressive nature of the Abrahamic dood.

I think you should know the person chiefly responsible for removing the disorder from the DSM-IV is currently trying to re-institute it in the next Diagnostic. Ironic, isn't it?
There are tons of controversy and criticism of the DSM's of the past. One, it is too much like a 'Chinese take-out menu' when in reality, disorders aren't so clear cut. Secondly, the DSM in each iteration has generated tons more disorders than previously existed, some incontrovertibly wrong, like homosexuality, and others that are questionable, like ADD.
Even though the current research suggest PTSD is not a disorder, but a *syndrome*, the DSM still persists in its dogmatic ways.
I'm not anti-psychology or anti-DSM, and I understand that the field of psychology is still in its infancy. Don't put the DSM up on a pedastal because history has shown they are not infallible, and the dust hasn't settled in the world of mental health.

I'm guessing a hidden motive of theirs, underneath the beautiful design, is to challenge the long-standing business practice of favoring seniority (ie, in age) over skilled persons. This type of design would favor the younger employees and shake up the hierarchical nature of Japanese worker ants.

I'm going to go against the popular opinion and say the teachers were grossly ineffective, and because kids can sense that, they didn't show respect for the teach. Teachers that lose their cool are:
1) destroying any last remnants of decorum,
2) adding fuel to the fire,
3) modeling poor behavior,
4) losing perspective and problem-solving ability,
5) losing respect of the children.
The teach is an adult and he/she should act like it. If their class is chronically bordering on explosion and chaos, then they should re-evaluate their skills as a teacher.

Paul, I agree with you but I should add people don't 'believe' in evolution, they either 'accept' it or not. Evolution is a scientific theory just like the Theory of Gravity. It's hardly a belief, and more like a LAW.
