Speaking of Japanese movies, it's not a zombie movie, but you might try "The Calamari Wrestler." A wrestling champion is killed and reincarnated as a giant squid, so he decides to win back his title and his girlfriend. It's like a mix between a Godzilla flick and a Rocky movie.

You mentioned "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Died and Became Mixed-Up Zombies" but it really isn't a zombie flick. A carnival fortune teller splashes acid in the faces of guys who won't have sex with her. That's about it, except for the bad caberet that makes up 90% of the movie. It's my choice for Worst Movie Ever.

You might look for "Nudist Colony of the Dead." It's a musical. The last time I checked Amazon.com had a VHS version, but no DVD.
