Very shrewd PR effort by McDonald's! Probably worth pointing out that there have been issues with use of antibiotics, gestation crates, etc., in the process of what brings that meat to the processing plant. In fairness to McDonald's, gestation crates are being phased out -- they're already illegal in some places. Additionally, you get a hearty helping of sodium in a McRib. Just trying to bring some balance to the PR.

Sandyra, if you're not already, see if you can get some help taking care of your dad. Try your local Department of Aging for some leads on where you can find it. Please also take care of yourself in this. If you burnout, it's not going to help either of you. Find support online or in-person. Or both.

Sorry -- I didn't mean what I said to sound as if I was squashing Halloween fun. I can overdose on candy with the best of 'em.

Alright, I'll be the wet blanket here. I did some research and there are explanations for those pics. Whether those explanations are exactly what happened is another matter. But they are distinct possibilities. And boring, at least in comparison to the scary interpretations of them.
By the way, the author of that web site copy identifies the woman seen in the 9/11 pics and videos as "Edna Clinton." Her name is actually "Edna Cintron."

Remycarreiro, I saw my dad get gobbled up by Alzheimer's. It is heartbreaking. Thanks for your courage in mentioning your experiences here. You're stimulating discussion and understanding. That always helps.

One of the things I love about kids and animals is that if you know how to play, you're accepted.

There is part of me that looks at this and says, "Good God...this is atrocious and deficient in nutritional value, high in sodium and fat!"
There's also part of me that looks at this and says, "Yeah, baby...I'll take three. To go."

There are exceptions to the rule, of course, but animals just sometimes show such decency and kindness.
