If he is giving the discount only for Chritians, then it would indeed discrimination. However, I am not sure if just asking someone to recite something from a religion counts.

For those that think it is no big deal to expect someone to say a Bible verse for a discount, I hope you have the same position if the guy was asking you to recite something from the quran or other religion.

I am amazed he could give 50% discounts. That is quite a markup!!

Interesting post. I sort of find the technique has the advantage of finding what I don't know, very quickly. If you think about it, most students are going through pages and pages of notes, over material they mostly know, just to locate the small portions they don't. If it is all visible, you an scan everything very quickly.

Wow, did that make my day. To see that little girl hiding behind her stuffed animal one day, then the next looking at her face knowing that she doesn't have to hide anymore. That just gives you a warm feeling all over.

Amazing under cover police officers can not participate in the witness protection program. So, a police officer that goes under cover in a mob or gang to get evidence, doesn't get any protection when the job is over. It is just considered part of their duty. Wow, talk about sacrifice.

I definitely follow this technique. When I was in engineering school, I always re-copied my notes down on printer paper. I wrote very small and used lines to seperate information. Then before a test I would hightlight the items that I seemed to confuse with others.

When finals came around, my friends had to review two or three sprial notebooks. I only had to review 2 or 3 pages (I wrote really small).

I thought India was cranking out a lot of graduates? I am suprised they were not mentioned.

I have always noticed the first half of anything feels longer. If you are jogging, the first half of the jog seems longer, even though you have less energy for the 2nd half.

If you are helping someone move, the first half of the day seems like eternity, but 2nd goes much quicker. And of course, when traveling, the trip down always seems longer than the trip back.

My own guess is, when traveling, you have more anticipation on the trip out, which makes your brain constantly conscious of the time. On the return trip, your brain is more relaxed and less anxious, so you forget about the time.

My wife collects this stuff. She has always called it Vasiline Glass, which it looks like in normal light.
