Eddie you always come up with wonderful articles. This one is no exception. I have read trivia about IDofJ before, but had not heard any of this other than the belly button censorship.
I don't know about this. While I am sure this is legit. I have known several bee keepers in my time and all of them said getting stung was part of it, and these guys had protective gear and smokers.
One sting and it's pandemonium. I guess it is like the lion tamer. It's safe until they eat you.
Great video!!! Man, I am a magnet for the "coach" types. I don't really care that they offer their "valuable" advice, but why do they feel I am obligated to do it their way, just because they said something?
The “meat heads” around me are nice guys, but if I didn’t have an iPod, I would blow my brains out having to listen to the constant talk about dietary supplements and what foods they are avoiding this week. I also crack up at the constant writing in their training logs of every freakin’ thing they do. I know they are tracking progress, but it sure seems to take the fun out of working out.
I don't see the similarity. Black has been the color of villains for along time. As for the breathing, "2001 A Space Odyssey" did it before this film, when Dave Bowman was shutting down HAL.
Everyone has influences. You just can't do anything that doesn't have elements of something else. Some may be direct influence, or and artist or authors come up with similar ideas independently.
Even in the case of the obvious similarities between C3PO and the lady robot in "Metropolis"... It is not a stretch for any Sci-Fi author to imagine a metal humanoid robot. Just try to come up with something that doesn't look influenced by "Metropolis".
There is still room to be creative, despite similarities to other works. The same people that designed the characters in Star Wars also did the ships and those were certainly quit different from what had been seen before.
That is one of the most stupid hoaxes I have ever seen. If anyone, even for second, bought this nonsense, I serisoulsy think you could be held up over the telephone.
@ philosophile, I don't think the house moving is an issue for a home. The foundation is not traditional. The link shows that the house is sitting on an artificial foundation, which is basically be a large slab.
If the house did move, it wouldn't matter, even if it ended up down the street. It can always be moved back, and such a structure would be ideal for doing that.
Sure no one wants to have to move their house back, but it is better than having to rebuild it after a large earthquake. They may have also considered movement and have measures to prevent this.
"...the number of business students has doubled in the past few years, while the school’s budget and the number of faculty has stayed the same."
Something seems fishy. You have double the revenue, but don't increase the budget. Then why gouge students, if you aren't going to raise the budget with double revenue?

Who cares how you get them? Why risk your life trying to catch these guys if they are willing to turn themselves in.

Just saw this on Snopes. The filmaker is on video saying so. It took 8 months to pull film.

Yes, it was fake. You have to sort of expect this when they match up two hollywood props.
Here is a youtube that seems to explains it.
