OCD is simply the way the person's brain is wired. The problem comes when people feel less about themselves, or feel stained because of the OCD. It is not just the handwashing, or need for symmetry like Beckham, the REAL suffering is in one's thoughts. Atleast that is true for me. So many people misunderstand and misrepresent those of us who have OCD. Well that is my two cents. I found great help and understanding, for the first time in my life at www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com I wish everyone could learn more about OCD and I'm glad to see an article about people we all know who have OCD, so we know we're not alone. It is actually quite controllable when you know what works and doesn't.
