As a resident of Georgia you can get screwed by the price of whatever the local government decides to build. One of the reasons I moved from my hometown was the idea of people who celebrated pine trees once a year planting expensive palm trees on the city square. Also the expensive pine cone fountain (which looked more like a pineapple) cost us more taxes for ammenities which few people voted. They hide these expenses in the city tax and sales tax.

Sad to say this but...Did anyone ever consider prisoners or terminally ill people. I'm sure there is a number of these people who would volunteer for missions like this as an alternative to living out their life here on Earth. I understand Australia was basically founded this way.

How long before the game becomes boring do you realize you've paid 20 bucks for pixels. I paid out ten bucks for another physics game which was very challenging, but after about a week my brain was tired and I had built a solution for every level. I haven't used it since. I can only hope these games can inspire future architects and inventors.

I find this study a bit biased. Since it was done in London and not Atlanta or say Chicago or even L.A., what mitigating factors of other cities around the world allow their population to live much longer. Most of the people in my family have all lived past 75 and well into their 80's. These are people I have personal experience been stressed beyond all limit, smoking and drinking, with exposure to dangerous chemicals, some of them raising and eating pork. so with all these factors taken out, I can only imagine the number of centurians there would have been in a hundred mile radius.I don't exactly agree with Zof/\, but until the medical community comes up with a way to give me the body of a young man, what's ten years going to do for you.

A friend of mine who's a former employee of a restaurant, with the initials "DQ", claimed that at one time any hamburger patties that were cooked during the day and not used were ground up for the next day chili. I'm not sure how disgusting that is but I'm sure some of those patties had to be sitting around a while or overcooked. I wonder if Wendy's does the same thing.

I agree with Matt. We have three McD's here in the college town where I live. One located in Wal-Mart. This county is much smaller than my hometown county which has only about half the population and only one McD's at least 30 miles from any other. As a side note another location did not have a McD's until the 21st Century when it was likely determined that the traffic flow was enough to support a profit.

Cursive is a joke. Except for personalized signatures and company logos, who needs it? During my Dad's Naval career he at sometime was in charge of writing down the Captain's log on the bridge. Of course he had to print to make it legible for everyone. I learned to print everything I write by hand because most forms require it and there is no hassle about my handwriting. In this age where most everything is typed cursive skills should be pushed aside in lower grades and replaced with typing class. Hold off until high school or college when it can be taught as part of an art class.

Too many of you like #3 have negative comments about this. We can start researching this problem now and find a way to make it work. If it ever gets built I'm sure people like #3 would suck up as much or more juice than the rest of us and never admit it. It's a great idea and should be put into action.

After seeing pictures of infections that can be caused by excessive foreskin in a medical journal, I am not surprised that this became a ritual. You can't propagate the species with rusty tools.
