There's a similar site out there called Ficlets (www.ficlets.com) Basically, you write a story, but you are limited to 1,024 characters.
It's been a wonderful way to kickstart my brain, shake loose ideas, and force myself to edit edit edit.
They offer inspirational pictures from Flickr you can use to inspire a ficlet. You can prequel or sequel someone else's story - or tell a longer story via a series of ficlets. Best of all, the community is one of the best I've come across for honest feedback.
Ficlet's got me started on my way to writing a book (based on a picture there that turned into a series of ficlets) and well, it's just another awesome site :)
