OMG, WTF?? I think my brain just melted a little. Bizarre, indeed, and macabre yet . . . one of the most creative & strange things I've seen in a while.

He definitely falls under the "so ugly he's cute" category. I live in Cincinnati, and it's so nice to have such a state-of-the-art zoo in town. I just moved five minutes away from it, so I'll have to go & pay Harapan a visit!

Man, I could have used this last week! I got pretty brutally dumped by my boyfriend after 14 months together. I was a wreck for days, and actually took a vacation day the Monday after the breakup! I couldn't possibly have come to work, as I was crying all day and couldn't eat or function normally. It felt like I was mourning a death, which is why I think this "heartbreak leave" thing is such a wonderful idea. If we can take bereavement leave why not heartbreak leave?

I was in 2nd grade as well, and the teacher had brought a TV into the classroom so we could all watch the launch. I still can vividly remember seeing the image of the explosion, and even at that young age I wondered why we were watching the disturbing footage over and over as it was being reported on the news. Most kids were confused or upset, but of course it didn't take long before the really nasty tasteless jokes began. "What does NASA stand for? Need Another Seven Astronauts." Awful.

What a misleading header! I was all excited to read about some mysterious futuristic carving from the 1600's, poo.
