The Levi company bids on these often and attempts to drive the price upwards. Eventually they win the bid and right off the expense by "donating" the jeans to their own Levi's Blue Jean Museum and calling the whole thing a charitable donation when in fact it is just done for the free advertisement.
If you doubt this ask yourself why these jeans keep popping up from mines (seven or eight of them by my count) and not from the closets of people. I was able to find a 1920's jean jacket in my great grandfather's clothes.

I have heard the term barricade used for a two year old who locked themselves in the bathroom by accident. I have also heard cops use it against people who closed an unlocked screen door in the face of a cop who was trying to enter without a warrant.
Ignore the term. It is just a word cops use to sound important.

How about a sign for Rhode Island construction zone
It would have to say something like,
"Guys working while a cop gets paid overtime just to watch and some state senator's wife gets paid $40 an hour to hold the slow/stop sign."

You know.......?
I don't shit just to denigrate those born without assholes.
If you have long nails you have a problem using ALL 21st century tech.
The city of San Francisco isn't designed to allow you to walk around in a corset either, and it isn't because it was made to not allow corsets. It is because it is a modern city.
Should I be able to complain that the Iphone doesn't work well on horseback?
Ladies, grow up and join the 21st century.
If you put style before life functions then you are no differnt than women who perform cliteradectomy or feet binding on their daughters.
PS-Men can have long nails too. But women call them slobs.

This is great for rich people.
Those of us who are forced to buy things from Salvation Army and Fleamarkets know that the reason that we have so many small things is because we are dealing with outdated and half broken things.
I have two laptops because neither of them had a warranty past 1999. If I could afford a new one with applecare i would only have one.
Simplicity is often more a matter of technological level and money than voluntary simplicity.
Money and technology level also allows one to get beyond huge barriers that leave others in poverty for their lifetimes.
Give up the telephone and see how quickly your ability to earn a living and find a new job drops to nearly ZERO.

"This is as good a time as any to remind all of you to get a full physical"
Because it doesn't matter if you have a good mental. Apparently Neurogirl doesn't think the mind and soul have anything to do with health.
in other words Neurogirl,
You are shallow.

Bullshit.
We all know this story is bull.
Every time there is a rainstorm the gas stations gouge you.
Every time a local soldier dies in Iraq the gas stations gouge you a few cents more.
Then Bush cut measurement enforce ment so in many areas you only get 7/8 of a gallon anyways.
Around my area a gas station owner was finally sued for having standard and "premium" when it was all the same gas. it is estimated he did this for 40 years.

Tim Russert was a tool.
He had the chance right before the 2004 election to ask Bush some real hard and pointed questions and Russert
completely failed to do his duty as an American and as a member of the media.
Walter Cronkite is still alive at age 93
It should how much longer you can live if you have a clear conscience.

You can't limit demand when 80% of America doesn't have access to public transport of any sort useful enough to live their lives AND 70% can't access any car that gets better than 40 mpg.
Demand is stagnant for the the next 4 business cycles until this is addressed.

Michigan's Great lakes Do NOT freeze Often and may not ever freeze again. Unless you are over 70 It may have not froze over in your lifetime.
They didn't freeze during the great winter of 1978 and in my Charlevoix county town in northern michigan we had an old man who was possibly the only person to drive a car from Michigan across lake Michigan to Wisconsin. He said he did it the very last year it ever froze which he said was 1935 and the car he drove was a Ford Model T.
I heard the story in 1986 and don't know if it's true but he did have a Model T with the tank tracks and ski kit for snow travel and he would give rides to little kids at winter festivals.
