When I purchased my 93 Honda civic in 96 I was wavering between it and a new Metro because the Metro got 50 miles to the gallon. I'm not sure why I was concerned with gas prices back then, but decided to go with the Civic. The mpg was less but I'm still driving it after 12 years. I have a tape deck that will only accept my iPod connector and no power steering. I'm still getting 35-40 mpg.
I wish I could have participated in this study - I would have totally skewed these numbers! I don't think I do 7 hours of cleaning a week unless I have someone coming to visit.
My husband works part time and he generally does the dishes because he's home before me and not because he's been asked too. He vacuums and sweeps for the dame reason. He also has to wear a uniform to work and so he washes clothes more than I do.
I also don't keep a lot of crap out that requires dusting like knick knacks and photographs. I like to think of myself as minimal but know deep down that I hate to dust.
I changed my dog's name twice. Her prison/animal shelter was Missy. Since she had been abused at one point, we decided to call her Penny after Janet Jackson on Good Times but that didn't stick. She's been a Jenny for 3 years and will remain so.

Another reason for me happily not to reproduce.
