Technology has changed the hardware, and that hardware can hold a good deal of my music collection that I have digitized or digitally obtained (CD or download), and play it basically randomly, where analog media was practically linear, or I had to work to listen to a particular track.
I still listen to the radio quite a bit though, but also have music channels from my TV provider, and online streaming.
I haven't bought music for quite some time, just listen to what I already have, or listen to radio/streams.
My sentiments are similar to that of Jolly, , college athletics should belong to real academic students, not as a "farm league" for the pro leagues, paid for by tuition fees of the real college students.
School bus runs only twice a day, and you can only get off in two places, school or home. Of course, that is fine for school, but outside of that the public bus rules, despite a cost and often used by the lower ends of society. One of the benefits is some passengers are adults, and you can go where ever they stop.
Fundamentally I am "reasonably happy", in a day to day sense.
The bigger picture is not so much, because I am not yet at any of the social (married, kids) and economic (house 2 cars, retirement plan) milestones a person my age should have. The plus (and part of my happiness), is that I have few to no expenses related to children, owning a home, and all that.
My brother was one that when it came to drive, didn't know the local roads too well, for he was always reading while on car trips, even local. I am the opposite, plus like to explore.
As for food, being on my own lets me make choices I the normal cook/shopper does not make.
Not because of any philosophical or religious belief reasons though, I just don't like blindly buying things for other people, especially if I have a budget or limited shopping resources. Nor do I like receiving gifts given similar regard in their selection.
I have not had a gift based Christmas in at least 5 years, and am perfectly fine with that.
That reminds me of this PSA of a child recalling her weekend of alcoholic (and presumably narcotic) excess, with a tagline something like "is sound so good when you say it".
But no, because I am not really into the zombie thing.

Most I did see.
Others I made an educated guess, based on location (West Wing), era (Tofu - wouldn't happen before 1990s, the 1970s were wild and crazy)
