The Daily Show is pure comedy and not to be taken serious unless your a liberal.

Why not do the democratic thing and let the market decide? If you are for having al-Jazeera on cable then keep your cable service. If you have no opinion then keep your cable service. If you do not want al-Jazeera on cable then cancel your service. Allowing a minority of the people decide something for the majority is un-democratic and Anti-American. I know congress often does just that, but at least we empower them by putting them in office in the first place.

Notice how the people that were right next to the stage didn't move an inch to help her. Some can even be seen clapping at the sight. What a sorry bunch.

Being over weight can have many reasons. It can be due to depression, illness, genetics or a lifestyle choice. There is no one solution to any problem. Just as smokers are being discriminated against by non-smokers we see those same sort of people discrimating against obese people. I just think that some people have such a miserable life that they feel a need to go out and make other people lives miserable too. You know the type of person that points out how messed up your life is to draw attention away from their own messed up pointless life. Hey, just look at a certain ex-vice president that lost an election and now goes around telling everyone that because they drive a SUV and use plastic bags that the polar caps will melt and drown polar bears. I live in Maryland and our zoo has polar bears and guess what ? They spend 70% of the time playing in the water. They are fantastic swimmers.

Saudi Arabia does have crime. The most common crimes are those that violate "haram" law. Second is smuggling and theft. Third is rape and murder. Crime just goes unreported in the western press. In Islamic ruled nations women are property. Sure the husband loves his wife but it is a measured love.
