It's not child abuse and he's not smiling, it looks like more of a grimace. Will it be effective? Who knows but sometimes grounding, time outs, taking away privileges, extra chores and yes, even spanking doesn't work either. You have to try everything until it has the desired effect. Good for this mom!

Great artistry just not a likeness of Pattinson. I've seen better composit drawings of criminal suspects done from just a description and she had like how many actual pictures of the guy to look at?

My exact thoughts Miss Celania. An interesting aside to the movie is that there was a dispute over the 1993 Sommersby screenplay because Warner Bros refused to admit their story was based on the 1983 novel by Natalie Zemon Davis that was based on the actual 1560 story. Warner Bros eventually relented giving credit where credit is due.

Times change and so do names. When was the last time you saw a five year old named Agnes or Bertha? How about Thaddeus or Jedediah? I think kids will always make fun of each other be it names, looks or whatever. Child abuse? Hardly, and besides who needs another Tiffany or Ryan?

stuart and g.park both have good answers to the issue in hand. While the father did violate the court order I would say that the judge overstepped his authority and it is ultimately going to end up a 1st ammendment issue.

Shannon you claim atheism isn't a religion yet you are in fact proselytizing with the best of them.

Neither having a fortune or being dirt poor has nothing to do with true happiness. If this man thinks giving everything away will bring him happiness he's sadly mistaken. Being charitable is what everyone should do, each according to their means, but what good does it do society for this man to be pennyless? Who will pay when he becomes ill? Who will pay when he has no money for food? Somehow somebody else will pay the bill, probably through taxes.

So true. My uncle bought a bottle cutter back in the early 1970s and made those same "bottle glasses". He got it after watching the commercial and used fine sandpaper to smooth and round over the lips. Still it is neat to see this "lost art" revisited.
