It may wash off with water but it's still a form of vandalization. What if you just washed your car? What if you were on your way to pick people up for something important? Then lets talk about getting the paint thrown up into the engine compartment and all over the undercarriage. A simple hosing off of the car isn't going to handle that. Stupid and thoughtless.

Tertium Squid is right. Peeping Toms do not go into the homes of their victims. The cops need to look more closely at this guy. Who knows what he was really up to.

Rogers WAS wrong in combining those bills. I lived in a rented house once that had a mother-in-law apartment behind it with no seperate address. Both tenants got their mail at the main address. Should the phone company have taken it upon themselves to combine both tenants service into one bill? Obviously not. That said, Rogers wasn't at fault for the marriage breakup, the wife was, so no case.

The opinions on both sides of this issue are certainly valid. The chances of a child being abducted by a stranger are small but then so is a house fire and we all have fire insurance. The world of today is a much scarier place than it was in our day, or our parents or our grandparents. I don't see how we can feel safe letting our kids run free like past generations of kids. I live in an average sized, regular city and I can tell you the parks aren't a place where children should be left alone. Homeless, gang members, drug users and other assorted ne're-do-wells frequent those parks and while most aren't there to do specific harm to children things happen and kids get caught in a situation they aren't equipped to handle. Bottom line for me is better to be safe than sorry.

How about one of the most famous name changes? John Wayne was born Marion Robert Morrison. One of the most needed name changes? Kirk Douglas was born Issur Danielovitch.

Bad idea. In the real world, a place these parents don't seem to think matters, education is placed above all else. The powers that be don't hire nor do they promote based on ability as much as they do education. Right or wrong that's how it is. These kids are in for a rude awakening because no matter how intelligent they may be, without a formal education they are not going to be taken seriously. Plus they won't possess the basic skills needed for holding a job, getting there on time and doing what you're told.

I'm sure a lot of authors that are well known now had their share of rejection at first. Most do.

I'm not sure why JBSpesh and felixthecat felt the need to bash J.K. Rowlings and Harry Potter though. How many best selling books did either of you write?

Oh and thank you Dc for your input. Classy.

mochicha, these eating contests do not have anything to do with world hunger. The simple fact is that world hunger is caused by the governments (or the lack there of) of the countries where the people don't have enough food. Because of these corrupt or non existent governments, food sets rotting on the seaport docks or the food is simply not allowed to be sent in because it is in the best interest of the thugs who rule these countries, whoever they may be, to keep their populations starving. There is plenty of food to feed everyone on the planet, it's polotics that preven it.
