What the heck is going on with the airlines? How does something like this happen? Do they sell out the plane and let the computer randomly assign seats? It is unconscionable that an airline would seperate a parent and child, especially a six year old. It would be one thing if you showed up at the last minute to purchase your tickets, but to make reservations only be split up is just wrong. Tickets purchased together should be seated together. What am I missing here?

Even if I was retired and had the time to see every movie I wanted to see this wouldn't pay off for me. At matinee prices in my area I'd need to see 64 movies a year before I was ahead and that's just too many. However I still vote for seeing movies in a theater. It's an experience I love, more than my friend's home theater with his 65" flat screen and surround sound.

I'm OK with gay marriage. It doesn't effect my marriage in the least. Now could the politicians tackle some issues like the economy, illegal aliens and our declining infrastructure?

While the term "flying saucer" may have been coined from Arnold's sighting this was hardly the beginning of UFOs. Most civilizations have stories such as we have now of unidentified things in the sky. History tells of sightings of "air ships", "flying discs" and other various sky phenomena dating back to ancient times. 1947 is significant in that it gave us the Roswell incident just a few weeks after this.

It's very simple really. If you can kill an animal, especially in an intimate way (smashing its head, wringing its neck, etc.), it's a small step to doing the same to a human. All you need to do is ask any serial killer how they got started.

The majority of homeless are mentally ill. No amount of money will change that and since the government won't allow involuntary institutionalization there will always be homeless. Another feel good idea that will go nowhere.
