This is a great post. I think people forget that America HAS been in dire economic lows throughout history. If Adam Smith has taught us anything, it is the cyclical nature of the economy...the 80's to mid 90's being a great example for us to look upon today.

What worries me are the candidates reactions and plans to this mess...neither candidate has really given a straight forward plan to get the economy back on track...

as for now all we have are some great political satires... the late show did a hilarious commentary on last nights debate...
