Just to see if egbert was right I clicked the vid link and see the "removed due violation of terms" message. Good! I hope the despicable vid poster understands why and learns from it before making other earthlings suffer.
Nothing will unite America faster than someone dissing her. America has been resting on her Constitution just a tad too much and we've started believing our own press. That's ok, at least we invented the interwebs and can bellyache about it without fear of our government shutting us down. Everyone does know that America invented the interwebs, right? DARPA. OMFG! Noooo!! Not the military-industrial complex!!! AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! J/K. Ok, so yes, we can stop the back-sliding and get back on the ball, though it tends to take a poke in the arse by an enemy for us to snap out of it. A healthy influx of legal immigrants helps. They believe in America, they care about her essence, they study for the oath of citizenship and take our laws seriously, see, and thus knowingly and eagerly agree to our principles. See, we shouldn't be crapping on them by handing over the benefits of citizenship to those who do none of that. Seriously Americans, raise citizens with a code of standards and ethics, not just consumers and arse kissers.
On the one hand, it's not exactly typical tiger stimuli. On the other, the tiger does seem to get a kick out of it. It is better than how animals are warehoused in "enclosures" and each person makes the interaction slightly different, so it's not boring. As long as it is the tiger's choice, I think I like it.
Of course I'd rescue him. With the pointy end encased in the can, I'd grasp the section just outside of the can and then get him to a rescue facility right away, the poor thing is probably starving. It reminds me of the poor shark discovered starving at the bottom of the ocean near a beach by local divers. The beast had a fishing gaff shoved into his mouth and gut and he could not dislodge it by himself. With the handle jutting out of him, he couldn't feed. But the divers couldn't just turn away so they, mercifully, intervened. Look it up. It made me misty.
And unions have become their own worst enemy. Riddled with dead wood and infiltrated by the mob, coupled with such strong arm tactics as forcing dues payment. The concept of a union is still a good idea --united we stand, divided we fall-- but so far, too many greedy humans have ruined it at every possible juncture. When more humans raise more humans to be altruistic vs raw capitalist corporate socialists (research it before jeering, you'll see), then needing a union will be an idea whose time has passed. But employers will always prey on their workers when no one is watching. And as most labor laws allow exemptions for companies with fewer than 100 employees, millions of workers have no protection of any kind.
In this particular case, 19 people is hardly out of order and considering how tolerant society has become of assassinating police, I'm not having an issue with how this search was conducted. So they were briefly inconvenienced, they were first asked for permission to search, which apparently they all granted, and for their safety and that of the police busy searching, they had to wear metal bracelets for a little while. No fun, but if it saves lives by preventing someone from grabbing a gun, big whoop. Don't blame the police, blame the robbers who created the entire incident.
Coolest ever? Why? Because he's half black or because he's a Democrate or because... why? If it's because he's half black, that's a pretty lame reason. If a person's color is not supposed to matter, then it's not supposed to matter.
I guess this means at least half of us have been wrongly scolding our dogs. Ok dog havers, either set a camera on your pet so you know for certain that they have in fact broken a rule, or risk doing it wrong to the poor pups. Parents can take a lesson from this too. I remember vividly when my mum punished me for something I didn't do and when she discovered she was wrong later, she apologized to me profusely. I know, who wants to live in a world where every moment is surveilled. However, think of all the wrongs that can be righted, all the mistakes avoided. At least until humans evolve further such that we don't have to have a recording to know for certain, we have a Spidey sense that fixes that for us. I think it's the reason cell phones all have cameras on them now.
Agree with Ray. I don't find such stories inspiring, I find them disgusting examples of how our capitalistic society kills its own insidiously, by rendering them homeless and daring to see if they'll overcome it despite how we have abandoned them. Them and combat veterans. Why on earth do we still refuse to provide at a minimum a shelter and food for every combat veteran, child, elderly and disabled? I sound like an America hater don't I. Actually, I'm so not a hater of my own country, but it's not perfect and this is one problem I really wish we'd solve once and for all. Seriously. If I never hear another story about someone who was homeless and then had fabulous good fortune befall them by sheer luck, it'll be too soon.

Obama "out spent" his way to victory too.
And the band plays on....
