As I recall, AT&T had an equipment manufacturing company called Western Electric. All their handsets carried that logo. Western Electric turned into Lucent after the divestiture I think.

It's worth including, I think, given that Western Electric was a *huge* company for a while and even ventured into the personal computer market.
