In order to know what not to look at, you have to know where it is. In order to know where something is, you have to look at it. So you're pretty much guaranteed bad luck in trying to avoid back luck.

Cats tend to pay attention to people who don't look at them and who don't make a lot of sudden movements and noises. Ever notice how cats seem to gravitate towards people who proclaim not to like cats? It's because the cat hater's avoidant behavior is welcoming in cat language.
