There must be some sub culture out there that thinks that by paying $10K + for a dessert, drink, meal, etc. they are glamorous or special. Or maybe it is a class of restaraunteurs that think having an unobtainable item on their menu is important. I don't know...

I guess when you have reached spiritual perfection and have nothing left to achieve or obtain in life, you can afford a couple $50K deserts and an expensive marriage proposal drink.

What is really awesome is that all these expensive menu items seem rather boring (as far as ingredients and creativity go) to me. But I only make 36K a year, what the heck do I know? I should leave it to the Paris Hilton's of the world to showme what's cool.

He is a psychologist, so I KNOW he's a crazy.

Small brain? What's that got to do with anything?

Psychology and psychiatry have failed mankind for 100 years, and yet no one has dared to question that fact. Go figure...

I wonder if any people have been saved by the use of animals in testing.

It's not like drug companies are honest with their testing data: how many drugs have been labeled with homicidal, suicidal, heart complications, kidney and liver complications, etc. years after the drugs were released for human consumption.

The only thing a drug company cares about is profit, and a little thing like the truth is not going to get in the way of a trillion dollar industry.

I think using animals for research is borne out of some sick pervert's idea of how animals should be treated.

Cute, too bad drugs kill.

This makes light of a very serious issue facing the US and every other nation on the planet - namely the overmedicating of populations which produces no benifits and only increasingly higher costs of insurance

I think the simple message locavores are trying to get out is that you should support your local farmer's market. I don't see anything wronf with the idea.

I don't think they were pretending to solve global warming by encouraging people to pedal down to their local farmer's market and buy up their produce.
