I would assume he didn't hear the siren because the driver was probably wearing head gear and getting instuctions through ear peices. Plus the driver may have just assumed it was part of the set noise.
So the cop was on a different channel then those working the set but why did he drive around the one at the end of the street?
"Does that mean that, in the absence of emergencies, a lot of blood gets thrown away on a regular basis?"
Yes and No. Some blood can be sold to research companies (not for much money). Some blood is destroyed each month because thankfully it is not needed. To say a lot of blood goes unused would not be accurate, they do a fairly good job in predicting needed even with a generous margin. There are some types of blood that almost always go unused only because of the rarity of the blood, one thing about these types of blood is that it is rare for those with these types to refuse to donate.
I myself am part of the 5 gallon club, not sure how far I have to go to the 10 gallon club lost count a while ago. I am part of my local Blood Bank’s “Life Saver” program which just means that they will call me more often seeking donations. Unless I am sick or out of town I will donate within the week but in any case I will donate as soon as I can when called (usually 3-4 times a year).
One thing I like about blood donations is that I have a hard time imagining reading about some story about misused donations and several people associated with the group heading to jail for their part in the fraud.
So wow we can have these built through caves and some of the other most inaccessible areas, because we all know those are easy areas to build things in. One question, let’s say I’m pushing some snail along and that snail wants to get off (still don’t have an idea as to how this happens) at some point before I do, how does that work?
Chucke E Cheese is a giant rat...mouse... that resides at Chuck E Cheese centers. These are basically kiddy arcades that serve bad pizza.
Confession, I was once Chuck E Cheese (no not where my name comes from) and my training was "don't use the head with the hat on it, the ears will fall off." Kids are usually very violent around that rat.
I think that family that named the child "Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116" should have had to pay the fine for each letter plus receive at least 5 lashes from every potential teacher the child may have.
"How about doing it like they do in a few Dutch and English towns, which is to get rid of the traffic lights and signs altogether?"
I think I can speak for many of those in the US when I say 'bad idea'. We typically drive vehicles larger then bicycles. Last thing I want to do on a trip through town is to meet somebody in my mid-size sedan (read 'large' if in Europe) and them in their Suburban (read 'bus' if in Europe).
This sound good and all but it flies right in the face of what some DoTs use traffic lights for: To discourage the use of said road. At least that seems to be how PennDoT uses of traffic lights. How else does one explain the rash of 6 lane roads having equal or shorter time cycles then the 2 lane cross street?
It's good to see Dolph getting so much work as of late.

Next time you will not laugh at the Travel Insurance option will you?

*Got the Mario one wrong because I put Mario World and not just Mario.
No it does not. The trench in the shot just prior to the explosion is running horizontal not vertical.
