Ah yes Alien Resurrection but wasn't she like #50 or something. My memory of these movies falls off a cliff much like the series after Aliens.

In Stargate all the gates are on earth like planets so they would all have Earth like gravity, all the "aliens" in the movie are humans and they speak an ancient Earth language. Stargate did however have FTL travel.

Not sure what they were watching in the "Alien Movies" to check the box for interspecies breeding.

Some of these cuts I question the "savings". Cutting 200-250 thousand jobs may save on payroll but how much is that going to cost in the local support and unemployment extentions? Also the foreign aid looks a little low since we just gave Israel about 120 Billion in free military equipment or doesn't that count as aid?

Why am I trying to solve the budget shortfall for 2030, a lot can happen in 20 years. Heck in 2000 we didn't have a budget this bad projected for 2010.

No the guy that hit the post is the biggest fail. The keeper pretends to fall because that is what everybody does in soccer once they have been beaten on a play.

I think you are over estimating the logical processing of the general public. The military obviously had little doubt that a direct attack on the US by Germany was extremly unlikely given that they build beach watch towers only around major port paths and having German POWs located in east coast towns.

I am just saying that the general public does not always take the logical path when fear is involved. I bet it would be very easy to find people that believe Russia could invade the US within a few months. Even easier if some major website posted "plans" of such a things even if it was a joke.

JBSpesh I am sure it was clear to fewer then you might think because good information about what was happening is not as available as it is today. Of course just because there is good information about thing doesn't mean that people will draw the obvious, just think of how many people though Iraq has the ability to directly attack the US in either 1991 or 2002.

As you stated even suggesting that something like this is possible, no matter how unlikely, will get people to support the action to prevent it.

I would see a guy on I-95 where 2 other major roads merged in a VW Cabrio with cow pattern seat covers talking on the phone (using the hand-set) and either reading a book, newspaper or making selections out of a mail catalog. Traffic at this section of the highway would be moving at like 50 mph with high chances of it moving to 0 quickly.

"Cheap computers like Dells are cheap in part because they use cheaper parts. It's like buying a Honda Accord vs. a Chevy Aveo. You're not just paying for a Honda logo, you're getting a better engineered machine that will last longer, and the same is true for Apple."

This is another Apple myth that just needs to die already. The only thing that Apple makes other then the case for their computers any more is the motherboard, which is not as good as many of the others. Apple has the same list of suppliers for the rest of the parts everybody else does.
