If they think that the degree should be worth one flat amount then they should charge one flat amount. If there are students who are taking longer than 11 semesters I bet the school does not let them go for free since they have met the normal amount. They keep charging them.
I think it would be fun to get a copy of the save game. Maybe some of us can try out hand at saving the world? I still have my computer from 2000 and I still have my original CD. I can pull them out in the name of binary peace.
A thought I am having it making use of spies to protect the cities. I remember that having spies in your cities made it harder for enemy spies to infiltrate but something I did was make enough spies to create a ring around the city. You did not have to pay maintenance costs for spies. They could occupy space around your city and not disrupt production. You could create as many as you wanted. You create a ring around the city and a trespassing spy cannot get past them. In fact, if it was a time of peace and the computer tried to bring units to your city to start a war they were stopped by the spies. They could not attack the spies in a time of peace. Once you have some cities protected by spies you can fix up the cities. Once you have that you can increase production. Once you have that you can start to go after enemy cities.
Another tactic I used would be to park my units around a city but not actually attack. I would try to take up every single city space. This chokes out the city. They eventually starve until they are next to nothing. Then attack. I believe this is called a siege.
Facebook has a shelf life. Another site will gain more popularity and the crowd will move from Facebook to that site. That will be the nature of social media sites. Facebook will join Myspace and wonder what happened.
I wonder what historians will think 1000 years from now when they are going over great videos like these. I like to think that they will think that these were actually written seriously and that the people of the 21st century loved bacon so much that they wrote ballads about it.
Actually, this is not that bad of an idea. Does not work so great for controlling mosquitos though. Bats go after larger flying insects. Better for controlling moths and certain crops have issues with moths and their larvae. Getting a bat population going can help control things. Also, notice the roosting area has a large open space under it. The idea here was to allow the collection of bat guano for fertilizer.
Backups are great if your company does them. I work for a company that has a very large database system that covers finance and HR. We do not have a backup system. We are in a hurricane prone area. We have tornados from time to time. We tell our bosses every year, especially at the beginning of hurricane season, that we need a way to back up the system offsite. They ignore us every time. "Too much cost. Too much effort. Stop talking to us about this stuff. Who are you? Why are you in my bedroom in the middle of the night? I am calling the police." One of these days we are going to have a disaster and lose years of data and these guys will act like it is the end of the world. When that happens I will be expected to magically recover everything from soggy servers. They will have to at least lift the restraining order, that is all I have to say.
What is it in our DNA that makes us want to mess with sleeping cats? I mean we are told to let sleeping dogs lie but no such advice about cats. We see a sleeping cat and for some reason we just have to mess with them.
I had a friend write a short story about what would happen if in one robot the laws were accidentally loaded backwards. You got a rather scary robot that preserved itself, took orders as long as these orders did not violate the self preservation, and would not kill people unless its existence depended on it or were ordered to do it. Of course, no one knew the laws were loaded backwards and the robot was sold to a regular family. All went well because the robot was just given simple tasks around the house but then one day things took a turn for the worse.
Ok, I read the article and it clearly states that outside of the Secret Service security zone, the mayor of Tampa wants to ban fake weapons but has to allow real ones.
Here are some quotes from the articles to back this up: /**********************/ Conspicuously absent from the list of potential weapons: Firearms.
"If we'd tried to regulate guns, it wouldn't have worked," said City Attorney Jim Shimberg.
State law bans civilians from openly carrying handguns. But anyone – even protesters banned by the proposed city ordinance from wielding a piece of wood larger than a ruler – may carry a concealed handgun if they're licensed to do so. /**********************/
So outside of the Secret Service protected zone, water guns are off limits but actual guns are not. That is the irony. Neatorama has plenty of articles dealing with irony. Ironic is a government official wanting to ban fake weapons at this convention but has to allow real ones in because of a state law. I see nothing wrong in the way Neatorama presented this information.
Interesting. Dr. Chilton was also Hannibal Lector's doctor in Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon.
