Typical, government bureaucracy getting in the way of a successful attempt to improve citizen's lives. So what if it's a little unusual, and (deity forbid!) makes people smile?
That's pretty impressive, that they could look past a possible loss to help an opposing player achieve something she'd never have another chance to attempt.

How long will that hold a modern child's attention? I bet it would go over bigger with the "experimental" college crowd. Well, at least it would have back when I was in that crowd!
Oh crap, my folks just had *hundreds* of slides from my childhood (and my 2 brothers) scanned recently. I'm not sure I can risk the scars of going back to find some that would work for this though. The plaid clothes...the bowl haircuts...the horror. The horror. Oh God, no.
