What loyalty for Hachiko to Hidesamuro must of formed at home....hmmmmm.. makes me wonder...lick lick lick..good dog ..no no no. thats wrong.so wrong..... statue erected in his honor.
Man, I would so love for this to be real footage! The fascination part of my brain wants to be a total believer. With modern computer means to creatively alter video or photo a given, to just be a skeptic with knowledge of software seems to discount the fact that if the undeniable where to occur than one small step on the moon would be readily apparent as slapstick style comedy.
Without having yet looked at other images, my first reaction to the entrance photo by Gully is a resounding "wwhhooaa!" I can imagine that it tunnels all the way down to some beast that rests in the center of the earth or of another dimension. It also makes me think what the unknown may have been for our great beginnings.
By the looks of the setup, I would say that saftey isn't much of an issue. The issue is "Hey guys! Watch me shoot this giant revolver!" It's easy fodder for "fill in a caption".
If I had $1.9 million, I certainly would put it into something other than a rare dime. Then again if I had this rare dime and could sell it for the 1.9, then...well. It can be quite unsettling to what extent obssessed collectors will go. It is also a pretty odd exchange of currency...and money can make the mind to do some pretty odd things.
Artist S. Dali, closing in on the end of his years in the 1980's, "de-liquified" himself in hope of "re-animation" at some point after death. Not all that different from sea monkeys was part of his studies that led to this possibility. Any word on 21century time capsules that are created in vacume chambers evacuating moisture, other than man-made debris outside earth's atmospere?
What a spectacular site! I have already sent it on to friends and labeled it as "the gift that keeps on giving". There so much to go through here. So far, I like the early color photos of folks in the landscapes and the everyday captures of people. Lets hope 2012 doesn't wipe out all of human history.
I think a bear would beat me up for the hell of it, if I was caught in the woods wearing one of these yodas on my back...but maybe thats why our fella here is carrying his trusty plastic saber...to fend off any unnecessary taunts.
yeh, but shouldn' t all parking meters do this? If there are those that are living on the streets and those that are parking on their "homes", shouldn't they pay for their rent?.. no, your right corona, it's stupid.
Check out the balancing work by the artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss from the series, Stiller Nachmittag (Quiet Afternoon)1987. Here is a link with 8 pics included, http://renaissancesociety.org/site/Exhibitions/Images.107.0.0.0.0.html?image=2336
You would think that the time that it must have took to create it, making the legs taller, (so that the players wouldn't have to hunch over) was just too difficult. I understand it is also a dinner table, so some adjustable high chairs isn't that far fetched in order to solve both sides.
