If it was made by apple, the max speed would be about 25 mph, if you break any single part (say a tire blows out) you need to ship the whole thing back and pay 90% of retail cost to fix it, and every bike will have a remote controlled kill switch, just for fun
I just dont see the novelty or difference in this than say, taking a large sheet of cardboard colored red and cutting out shapes from that. If they folded the shoeboxes without cutting or something like that, it would be amazing, but this is like trying to make painting on a canvas assembled from paper towels stapled together amazing.
Why do you assume they're knowledge-less punks? You see one clip of a video and that's all you assume. These guys have more mastery of physics (skateboarding) and engineering (building) than anyone you probably meet on the street.
