I remember hearing a story about a huge domino topple like this in Holland, I don't know if it was this one, but a bird got into this big hall in the night and knocked over 100s of thousands of dominoes, when they arrived in the morning they managed to corner the bird and shoot it. Turns out the bird was endangered, and some animal rights foundation tried to take legal action. If I were them I probably would have killed myself

I just got back from a holiday in Japan. there's a statue in Shibuya of a dog called Hachiko. His master was a professor at a university. Hachiko would accompany him from his home to the station every morning, and be back to meet him at 5 pm. His master died at work one day, but Hachiko waited patiently at the station for him for nine years, eventually when Hachiko died, they made a statue of him, which got melted down in the war, but you can still go and see it now.
