Prairie Dog's Comments
Haha, it wouldn't be a Boing Boing forum without one preachy, whiny post that completely misses the point.

Really, honestly, what makes this clip is the delightful voice of the owner. You can get cats yammering any day.

Well, I hardly ever enter contests, but I entered this one. You all with your Oberon fetishes, I went for the Geoflash. C'mon, its odd, its cool looking and probably the hardest one to decipher. Plus it reminds me of Battlestar Galactica for some reason.

Oh, its such a shame, people destroy good beer like that. Why can't they just leave it alone!

Wow, I love the idea of sideways trains. However they never touched on how much load the train could bear. What sized material would be needed to float a passenger train that sort of thing.
Perhaps someday we'll find a machine way to super-refrigerate, instead of relying on liquid nitrogen.

Ok ok, we're supposed to stay in the 20th century for this. I failed miserably.

Gosh, not that I am an expert in this subject or anything, but I can, without thinking very deeply on it, come up with quite alot of tortures that were around before democracy, and that's just in the European countries. Vlad the Impaler, the various methods of witch finding, crucifixion, burning etc etc.
Perhaps where I am going wrong is that they weren't necessarily trying to glean information from the victim, and it was done purely for suffering's sake. I'd still consider that torture. What else would it be called?

Geez, I thought that was quite reasonably priced. However, I wonder how long the happiness lasts? Is it habit forming? Can you give it away? How about a subscription? Any varieties?

I agree with Vonskippy. I am not going to gladly welcome our robot overlords unless they are autonomous dang it.

This is a pretty common, but sometimes hilarious device. My first intro to was Yatta although in that case he didn't just make up appropriate English sounding lyrics but a whole animation, around his lyrics, calling it a fanimation.

A few suggestions if I may, arctic crevasse adventurer, live volcano tube spelunker, deep sea cave explorer, just to name a few. Hey, if they are actually any good at it, then its still a win.
