Didn't we recently hear from a politician (is there anything they don't know?) how great it would be if we were China, just for a day, so the government could do what it needs to do? Of course, that particular politician totally got a pss from the media, so you may not have heard about it.

Try getting to the airport from any major city. Some places have little airport signs to guide you, but the vast majority figure you have GPS so don't bother putting any signs up at all.

I don't know anyone who still watches the Simpsons, and the quotes form the shows have disappeared from conversation entirely. I was an avid fan, even recorded many epsiodes (the show does go back to the days of VCRs, after all). I stopped a few years ago when it took the turn to the political left and simply became too preachy.

But how many times did he get the error message about a problem downloading this content (but try again later)? On our network, it pops up about half of the time. I figured they use it to restrict usage to a certain number of movies or shows per day.

I find the guy insufferable. His unprovoked attacks on other people just make him seem mean-spirited, a notion borne out by the outtakes he imprudently showed on one of his episodes. He came across as imperious and overly demanding for a guy who just travels around and eats.

Kids have been expelled for having a butter knife to spread food in their lunch bags, so this is certainly not out of line. No weapons means no weapons. it does not mean, "Well, no weapons unless you are being bullied, or think you might be, or otherwise have some excuse..."

As a lawyer for thirty years and the hiring director for the largest consulting enginerering firm in the country for the past 13 years, I say don't. Just say no, look elsewhere for a job. If this is what they do when they are trying to recruit you, what do you think they will do once they own you?

Elly, you beat me to it. This building, as drawn, cannot be built. it would be fun to watch as its fireproof capabilities are demonstrated in an awesome conflagration, or to watch as it does the jenga dance to the ground, but it cannot and will not be built.

They are by definition geographically different that the rest of the world. Maybe not geologically different, but that remains to be seen. Maybe there is some fracking going on in the area? The Chinese digging too far through to build their money vault, perhaps? Could it be...Satan?
