Awesome Ideas! I'm having a whole whack of people over on the Thursday to watch. I'm really digging the cupcake idea and might go with that. We also do a drinking game, which is the best way to watch Lost (but only with episodes you've seen before, otherwise you get too caught up in the show and forget about the game!)
We usually get a flate of beer (or cola if it's a weeknight) and everyone takes one can/bottle when the show starts. Whenever something happens, you take a sip/gulp/chug. For example:
Saywer calls someone by a nickname = One sip Jin speaks English = one sip Hurley says dude/Desmond says "Brutha" = one sip Jack cries = one big gulp Kate flip flops between Jack and Sawyer = one big gulp Scene with a montage = everyone shout "MONTAGE!!" and chug until the music/slow motion stops etc. etc.
The list can go on and on, but it's best if you have a smaller one so everyone knows what to look for. It's really a fun game and gets everyone into the spirit for the new episode.
Ah, Mr. Lee's English lessons. The bane of my existance as an ESL teacher in China. I spent a year trying to teach my kids via traditional methods and this guy comes in and does a presentation halfway thru the school year and I lost half of my students. And it really doesn't help them because they start to think that YELLING PRECONSTRUCTED ENGLISH PHRASES are normal and acceptable, when they most certainly are not.
Also had a friend get suckered into working for two weeks at one of his camps in Guangdong and boy, did she ever tell me stories of that Nazi Consentration Camp.
I've been following this story at TMZ.com and they have a video of the owner of Mutts & Moms actually taking the dog away from the house and being quite nasty about it too. I tend to side with Ellen on this. What kind of person takes a dog away from a child? That's just cruel. At the very least they could have done a background check on Ruby's family and let her keep the dog. I just don't understand why they didn't make an acception.
Poor Giraffe...

Rule #5: You do NOT. Talk. About. Bug Fight Club.
