This rat was bred to be hairless, so it's purely genetic. I think it also has rex genes in it which make the whiskers very short. I used to have a rex hairless rat. He was a little sweetheart. They are very very nice pets. Some rats are afraid of water and hate taking baths, so this little guy's owner is very lucky.

How is that possible? The checkerboard pattern represent an Alpha channel in Photoshop, which when exported would become just white. The only way there would still be the checkers is if someone just took a screenshot. I call fake. It's just a marketing scheme to get attention - and it worked!

I bet manufacturers of Doctor Who and Star Trek action figures have this problem too. At least watching a few episodes of the shows will quickly back up the non-human claim.

Ryan S, that's one anomaly cat and is no excuse for mutilating every other cat "just in case." There's always an inherent risk to yourself and your belongings when you invite any animal in to your house. If you can't accept the risk, you don't deserve the animal's companionship.

This is really creative and gorgeous, but if I hadn't seen the artists painting the actual nails I would have thought this was fake because the paintings are too precise. The thing about stop-motion is if you're too "good" it looks digital, so what's the point? It would work better with a cruder painting style.

Major spoilers if you aren't caught up on the series (especially for Series 6!!)

Awesome infographic though. I totally agree with the "Best Of" on the bottom. :)

I work in video production/animation and use capslock to disable previews when I render. I neeeeeed capslock! I don't think it's going anywhere, except maybe on laptops and netbooks.

That was fun! I got 65. The best way to do it was to tell myself a simple story and type out the words as I went. I missed some really obvious ones still.

L. Frank Baum attended the Peekskill Military Acedmy in Peekskill, NY which really was paved in yellow brick. One small stretch is still visible down by the train station.
