The list kind of counters itself by placing mythbusters in the #1 spot. Despite lots of self-admitted pseudo-science, the show does make plenty of solid safety suggestions (and demonstrations of what not to do by Adam and Tory ;))

Hey now, some of us are just tall, and for us 200lb is right on target. Perhaps the average population is just getting taller?
Yeah, probably not. :)

Honestly, I think consumers are at least as much at fault on this one. Not only are front loaders often high efficiency, they look cool and were considered a status symbol for several years after they came out. Manufacturers responded by building mid-range front loaders, and the combination of cool-factor, more approachable price, and efficiency rebates on taxes (which, I might add, includes several top-loaders, though people may not realize that) made them very popular, and actually not all *that* expensive by today's standards (lets just say inflation is partly a self-fulfilling prophecy). As a result they pushed the top loaders out of the market, and most of the manufacturers really are only putting out crap top loaders because they are so little of their sales.
People have never really pushed back on the fact that many front loaders are not as good as advertised, and frankly most people with average laundry don't even realize it. If there was more consumer awareness instead of buying what looks cool, we'd see a change back, but manufacturers are going to make and sell what people buy - and that's the cool jet engine washer that keeps the kids occupied almost as well as a TV.

Pretty sure the officer could have herded the ducks to the side of the road if the citizen wouldn't have "helped" :) Kudos to the officer for just rolling with it though and taking care of the situation.
A few years ago I came across something similar in person where a bunch of pedestrians stopped traffic to help some ducklings get to the side of the road. Took a little longer because they couldn't all get over the high curb on the side, and people were sure if/how they should help out. Somebody finally pulled out a book and gave them a boost. :)

damascus swords - there are knock offs, but no one has ever been able to reproduce the original technique

I'm no fish expert, but could that be partly because the pond is a tad overpopulated? :)

Indeed, the deep breath is supposed to be a slow, controlled breath, similar to what's taught in voice training - not a deep, quick breath. Somebody got their instructions mixed up. :)

Unfortunately, bowling balls can't stand up to this - they will eventually chip or shatter, and that would be way too dangerous in a public venue.
Cool idea though.

Seems kind of unfair to include FTL travel in that list. Aside from the fact that it's necessary to make a movie plot like star wars practical, we don't actually know for a fact that FTL isn't possible until we have an even deeper understanding of the universe, and it's partly thanks to sci-fi that we spend so much time banging our head against wall trying to figure that one out.
A better related category would be outright broken representations of relativity when dealing with near-light and FTL travel.
Also, no star trek movies?

I find the video a bit dubious in that it doesn't show a full cycle of the clock so we can see if the fan curls and uncurls smoothly.

Never heard of most of these, including #1. Does this mean I'm a poor internet user, or just that I have a life? (I don't, but it's fun to dream)
Like the modified Jesus posters though, they make much more sense that way. :)

People tend to forget that when people abuse food bars, they don't make money, and then it goes away or becomes prohibitively expensive. I've seen it happen several times - especially at schools, where students follow the crowd in trying to exploit it for all it's worth, then bitch when it goes away the next year.
Just eat what you want and be happy that it's still probably cheaper and more to your liking than if someone prepared it for you.
